NEW ORLEANS, LA — July 29, 2026 — STEM NOLA | STEM Global Action has announced the appointment of a new Director of Communications, Mia Augillard.
Augillard brings a strong background in strategic communications, public relations, and brand storytelling to the organization. She earned her degree from Howard University School of Business before beginning her career at an award-winning public relations firm, where she executed integrated communications strategies for clients across a variety of technology-focused industries. Her experience spans media relations, executive communications, social media strategy, and brand positioning.
As Director of Communications, Augillard will lead STEM NOLA’s communications strategy, elevating the organization’s visibility and expanding awareness of its mission to inspire, engage, and expose communities to opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). She will oversee media relations, storytelling, digital communications, and strategic messaging that amplifies the impact of STEM NOLA’s programs while strengthening engagement with students, families, educators, community partners, and supporters.
