STEM Baton Rouge and Southern University to Host FREE STEM Game Day STEM Fest on Saturday, September 19
Hands-On STEM Experiences for K–12 Students to Explore, Build, Create, and Discover the Exciting World of STEM
BATON ROUGE, LA — STEM Baton Rouge | STEM Global Action in partnership with Southern University and A&M College’s College of Sciences and Engineering, is excited to host STEM Game Day STEM Fest on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Southern University Welcome Center (707 Harding Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70813). The free, hands-on event will take place ahead of Southern University’s football game against Louisiana Christian University, giving K–12 students and families an opportunity to experience STEM on a college campus while exploring more than 25 interactive STEM activities.
Event Highlights:
STEM Game Day STEM Fest is a mini-STEM Fest designed to ignite curiosity and bring the excitement of STEM learning. K–12 students will have an immersive experience as they explore 25+ interactive STEM stations featuring hands-on activities, live demonstrations, engaging experiments,engineering challenges, and more. Participants will experience STEM innovations firsthand and be introduced to the many ways STEM connects to their everyday lives—and to the college and career opportunities available to them in the future.
Bringing STEM to the College Campus
Through the partnership between STEM Baton Rouge and Southern University and A&M College’s College of Sciences and Engineering, students will experience STEM in an environment that can help them envision themselves as future college students, scientists, engineers, technologists, and innovators.

They can interact with college students and faculty, explore their possibilities and begin to see themselves pursuing these opportunities in their own future.”
