The Collaborative Power of STEM NOLA & the Mayor’s Summer Youth Program (MSYEP)
In an era where technology is shaping every facet of our economy, the importance of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education has never been more critical. At STEM NOLA | STEM Global Action, we have made it our mission to ensure that every child, especially those from underrepresented communities, has access to transformative STEM experiences. This summer, our partnership with the City of New Orleans’ Mayor’s Summer Youth Employment Program (MSYEP) further underscores the vital role of hands-on STEM engagement in preparing the workforce of tomorrow while driving meaningful economic impact today.
The Mayor’s Summer Youth Employment Program offers paid summer work experiences for local youth ages 16–24, aiming to develop career readiness by exposing participants to fields of interest and building a pipeline to future employment opportunities. STEM NOLA was honored to collaborate in that important mission.
