Tech Summer Camp Sessions

Session 1: 3-D Printing
- Ages: 3rd – 8th Grade
- Dates: June 9 – June 13 | Mon-Fri 9am-3pm
- Registration: $50 per session | Camp Fee $200 *Scholarships Available*
- Location: Xavier University of Louisiana
- Description: Students will use the TinkerCAD 3D modelling program to create objects and learn how professional engineers design parts for things like cars, planes, and even buildings. They will work with a team of their peers to complete challenges and participate in competitions. At the end of camp, each student will have their very own object(s) to bring home.

Session 2: Physical Computing with Raspberry Pi
- Ages: 3rd – 8th Grade
- Dates: June 16 – June 20 | Mon-Fri 9am-3pm (no camp on June 19th)
- Registration: $50 per session | Camp Fee $200 *Scholarships Available*
- Location: Xavier University of Louisiana
- Description: Students will explore coding and programming with Python to program a Raspberry Pi microcomputer. They will learn about the structure and application of Python code while also making projects they can interact with such as cars, animated sprites, and electronic drum kits.

Session 3: Robotics
- Ages: 3rd – 8th Grade
- Dates: June 23 – June 27 | Mon-Fri 9am-3pm
- Registration: $50 per session | Camp Fee $200 *Scholarships Available*
- Location: Xavier University of Louisiana
- Description: Students will be introduced to the world of Robotics using a robotics kit. They will work with a group of their peers to create a robot that can complete specific tasks. The students will also participate in competitions with their peers to see whose robot is the strongest, fastest, or most capable.

Session 4: Video Gaming Design
- Ages: 3rd – 8th Grade
- Dates: July 7 – July 11 | Mon-Fri 9am-3pm
- Registration: $50 per session | Camp Fee $200 *Scholarships Available*
- Location: Xavier University of Louisiana
- Description: Students will be introduced to the world of video design using the Scratch coding platform. After learning the basics behind the code that goes into the games they love, students will learn about the design process behind what makes a game fun. At the end of the week, the students will have access to their own account on the Scratch platform where they can showcase their games.

Session 5: Artificial Intelligence
- Ages: 3rd – 8th Grade
- Dates: July 14 – July 18 | Mon-Fri 9am-3pm
- Registration: $50 per session | Camp Fee $200 *Scholarships Available*
- Location: Xavier University of Louisiana
- Description:Students will learn all about the advancements in Artificial Intelligence. Using tools such as Google’s Teachable Machine, students will train their own Machine Learning models and deploy them in their own applications. The students will walk away with access to their very own AI powered applications.
Tech Camp Registration, Scholarships, and Payment Information:
Camp Cost
- No Scholarship – $50 Registration Fee + $200 Camp Fee = $250 per week per Child
- Partial Scholarship – $50 Registration Fee + $100 Camp Fee = $150 per week per Child *Must provide 1 form of documentation of government assistance
- Full Scholarship – $50 Registration Fee + $0 Camp Fee = $50 per week per Child *Must provide 2 forms of documentation of government assistance
How to Register and Pay:
- You must add enough credits to your registration account in order to pay the registration fee and register for the camp. To add credits please hit the account button>add credit button>add the amount of credits needed>enter payment information and pay. After paying, then you can come back and register for the camps.
- You will register for each week separately.
- Only Pay the Registration Fee in the portal.
- Registration Fee is refundable for those students who qualify for scholarship and who attend the entire week of camp.
- To pay for your camp fee whether the full fee or partial, STEM NOLA will send a PayPal link for payment. Do not pay the full fee inside of the registration system. The camp fee is not refundable.
How to Apply for Scholarships
- To qualify for a scholarship you must email supporting documentation to registration@stemnola.com
- Partial Scholarship – 1 form of governmental support (Free/Reduced Lunch, Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, etc)
- Full Scholarship – 2 forms of governmental support (Free/Reduced Lunch, Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, etc)
