STEM NOLA serves students in grades 3-8 who attend schools classified as “economically disadvantaged” and/or “academically in need of support,” through the 21st Century Community Learning Center grant program in association with the Louisiana Department of Education.
STEM NOLA operates a 21st Century Community Learning Center in partner schools as part of “after school” programming. In this capacity, STEM NOLA provides homework assistance to help students work on strategies for overcoming academic challenges experienced in their classrooms every day. In addition, students also engage in STEM project-based modules ensuring they engage the skills necessary for success in math, science, and reading.
