Non-profit organization STEM NOLA will celebrate its 4th anniversary of “STEM Saturdays with Ph.D. Calvin Mackie” at Joe Brown Park this Saturday, Dec. 9.

The free event will feature science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) activities that will take place from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Required registration can be completed here.

Activities include performing experiments, designing and programming robots, racing remote control cars, building tooth-pick bridges and towers, flying drones, and more. Engineers, scientists, medical professionals, and skill tradesman will also be available to meet kids.

Children of all ages are welcome to attend, but parents must stay with their kids at the event. Activities will begin at 9 am with a short program, but participants can arrive anytime from 9am to 12pm.

Joe Brown Park is located on 5601 Read Boulevard.
